I never know what to do with the huge blank wall over our mantle between when the holiday decorations come down and I put the spring decor up. It’s been blank for a couple weeks now, and the gigantic green expanse is just killing me. I have tons of tomato flowers, but only a few actual tomatoes; most of mine [...] I love orange lilies (thankfully, since our yard is infested with the daylily version of them). I purchased the orange Asiatic lilies about 7 years ago, and they’ve moved around our property until I found a good spot for them in the front garden. They’ve really thrived in the last four years, so happy and [...] One of my favorite things to grow in the garden are golden beets. They’re much milder than red beets, with less of an “earthy” flavor. They’re also just really pretty to look at. My favorite way to prepare them? Roasted on the grill (click for recipe). [...] Gah.
