We have our first tomato!
Yum!
It’s a Silvery Fir tomato, and I haven’t tasted it yet. It’s resting on the windowsill for tomorrow’s dinner!

I don’t often talk about our front yard because it’s mostly decorative, overrun with lilies, and, frankly, I don’t go out there much since we live on such a busy street, but here are a few pictures. It was a lot of work (most of it on Jeff’s part!), but well worth it. It’s much easier to water and keep an eye on [...] Our Cordy-girl is liking soft cushions more and more as she gets older. Cordy on the couch She’s a good girl! That’s what it was when I woke up this morning: 6 degrees. It’s supposed to get into the teens today, but that’s it. I’m so done with winter already! And so is Kaylee. Be-socked! She may hate the sweater and socks, but she tolerates them to be warm. I know exactly how she feels… [...] This has been one of our go-to recipes of late. Just cauliflower roasted with canola oil and a blend of spices. Yum! Needing to make some space in the fridge, I also roasted a couple pounds of parsnips and sauteed some kale. Double-yum!
